Central Gardens Association is announcing a lot of "firsts" for the return of the Annual Home & Garden Tour this September! We are thrilled to welcome neighbors and friends from around the region as we roll out our 45th Annual Home and Garden Tour on Sunday, September 12 from 11:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. The Home Tour Committee has made some exciting enhancements to this year's tour, designed to make the event fun and easy to navigate, while keeping pandemic concerns in mind. We are introducing a waste-free event with digital tickets and we will roll-out our first ever all digital tour magazine! Also, for the first time, tickets will be sold in designated time-slots and will be limited in number to prevent crowding and to make your tour experience a breeze.
The tour itself includes a variety of unique and exquisite homes (some old and some very new), lots of delightful and whimsical decor, a sweet hidden garden and even the newly remodeled Boy Scout Lodge on Peabody! The tour traverses the centermost areas of the neighborhood from Cowden to Anderson, to Linden, Peabody and Carr. Air conditioned shuttles will be available for those who choose to ride, but the tour will certainly be walkable. This year's tour is a testament to adaptation: as we return after a challenging year, we will provide our ticket buyers with an enhanced, modern and efficient customer experience while staying true to the essence of the tour that has made the event a regional favorite for decades.
The Hospitality Center, which has become a tour attendee favorite since introduced five years ago, will be located at a prime spot on Peabody where our guests will enjoy beverages, food offerings and live entertainment. There will be a lot of surprises this year, so be sure not to miss out! The tour traverses the centermost areas of the neighborhood from Cowden to Anderson, to Linden, Peabody and Carr. Air conditioned shuttles will be available for those who choose to ride, but the tour will certainly be walkable!
Online ticket sales launch on August 2 and close at midnight Friday, September 10. Tickets will only be sold on the day of the tour if we do not reach intended capacity on or before Friday, September 10. Be sure to check our website, social media posts and our eNewsletter for updates!
Note: For your health and safety, we are extending hours, capping the number of tickets sold and selling tickets with designated time slots in order to keep crowding to a minimum. Attendees will be required to wear masks inside of the the tour sites. In keeping with our mission to limit our use of paper products and for your convenience, all tickets will be purchased electronically. We are also introducing our new CGA Home & Garden Tour eMagazine, presented in a digital format only!
