Dear Neighbor, Central Gardens strives to keep all neighbors informed about issues affecting the neighborhood, including security issues. Our neighborhood email system lets us distribute information and alerts quickly and efficiently, and we want you to be a part of it. We would like to collect the email address of each household. We know that many blocks are already connected and share information regularly. In order not to duplicate that effort, it would be most helpful if those people who have the email addresses for their blocks would let us know who they are. After we get this list established please be certain that it will not be sold or shared; information will be sent in such a way that no other person's email address is available to recipients. If you have a block list and are willing to share it, please email this information to . Ideally, a list would contain name, street address, telephone number and email address, although we will gratefully accept lists with missing parts. Also, if you do not have a list but would like to be sure that you receive emails from Central Gardens, please send your own information to the above address. Phelps Security provides guard service twenty-four hours per day for those Central Gardens neighbors who choose to subscribe. For the cost of a little more than three postage stamps per day, Phelps Security provides emergency response to your alarm system, vacation checks of your property, mail and newspaper collection when you are away, babysitter checks, and random patrol checks of your property. Since the service began in Central Gardens, the Phelps guards have worked successfully with the local police to apprehend people involved in home and car break-ins. You can spot the homes of subscribers by the red diamond signs in the front yards. With additional subscribers, Phelps will commit a second vehicle and guard during the hours of highest vulnerability. The Central Gardens Security Committee urges all neighbors to join in this effort to keep Central Gardens safe and thus enhance our community and our property values.
